Schedule a Tour

The San Diego EcoCenter for Alternative Fuel Education is proud to present two tours per day for our 2009-2010 school year. Each tour includes round-trip transportation in our CNG school bus from your school, and a reusable canvas tote bag, and a Teacher Science and Technology Resource Center to explore while touring. The student maximum per class is 44 students.

Eco-Explorers (4th-5th)

This Tour is based on upper Elementary School standards, with an emphasis on developing a broad knowledge of our environment. Topics covered include Alternative Fuels, Our Environment, Watts, and Alternative forms of Transportation. (2-2.5 Hours)

Eco-Adventurers (6th-8th)

This Tour is based on Junior High/ Middle School standards, with an emphasis on developing a broad knowledge of our environment and current issues which affect our planet. Topics covered include Alternative Fuels, Climate Change, Politics and the Environment, and Alternative forms of Transportation. (2-2.5 Hours)

*Please choose the tour which best represents the level that your students are performing at, remember take into account math and reading skills.

Tours at the San Diego EcoCenter for Alternative Fuel Education last between 2 and 2 1⁄2 hours depending on the number of students attending. This does not include travel time on our school bus which is included FREE with every tour. If you are unable to meet any of the time requirements please do not attempt to schedule on our interactive calendar, feel free to call us and we will help you set up a reservation for your students.

We have made many improvements over the summer at the museum including our field-trip reservation policy, so please be sure to have the following ready before starting a reservation.
